Jamie DeLacey
Jamie DeLacey is a Florida native who lives with her husband, two children, and two dogs in Bokeelia. Her interest in serving on the Fire Board stems from a deep desire to help the district evolve. Jamie graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with degrees in Communication and Interdisciplinary Studies. In addition to the Fire Board, Jamie has served on numerous philanthropic boards, including but not limited to Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, Abiding Love Lutheran School, The Construction Underground, and Greater Pine Island Civic Association.
Commissioner DeLacey was instrumental in helping Pine Island reopen after Hurricane Ian; she coordinated the evacuation of citizens and pets by boat and helicopter, scrubbed toilets with leftover water bottles so law and medical agencies would have clean restrooms, distributed supplies, wrote state delegates, and even met with First Lady Casey DeSantis to discuss local needs held up by bureaucracies. Her faith in the Lord allows her to serve with all her heart and she prays for continued guidance.
