Angela Kerr joined the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District in February 2024 as the Administrative Assistant. Angela returned to her hometown of Bokeelia shortly after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Her solid foundation in understanding human behavior and communication provides a unique perspective on her approach to administrative tasks.  

Angela's longstanding familial tie to the district – her father retired from the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District with 25 years of service – has provided a firsthand understanding of the district's values and dedication to service. Angela handles a wide range of duties, from planning events and maintaining office organization to providing support to the fire chief and other staff members.
